Our Club

Brinscall and Withnell Amateur Swimming Club (WASC) has been going for about 60 years at the Brinscall Swimming Pool (located at Lodge Bank in Brinscall, Lancashire). It is reneowned for its friendly, safe, professional and very effective approach to teaching children to swim. It is run completely by volunteers and is funded by membership and door fees collected from club members, plus some sponsorship by local companies and individuals.

The club has charitable status, and a group of trustees have been appoointed to oversee the fair running of the club. The club is managed by a committee made up of volunteers, and includes coaches and parents. The committee meets monthly in the Sea View and welcomes any new faces.

Membership must be renewed within 3 weeks of the renewal date to ensure that your child is insured.

New members can join as associate members (having not paid their annual membership) for a maximum of 2 weeks. New members can now only start n the first Monday of each month (exc. bank holidays), and all member details must be completed prior to the start date.

All the instructors are police cleared and have undertaken the relevant ASA professional qualifications.

The club also organises gala, parties and other social events throughout the year.
